Mark Beaumont holds a Combined Honours degree in Business and German. After graduating he spent several year in North Africa as Business Development Manager for a large international conglomerate. He has spent the last 30 years of his life working in Primary and secondary Education as School Principal and Business Manager of his own 2 schools in the UK. He now runs his own Education Consultancy business in the UK and overseas. He enjoys spending time with his family. travelling and discovering new places. He is a keen skier, cricketer and is passionate about motor racing.

Rio Mohan Dluzak is an entrepreneur, researcher, neuro-education and science literacy advocate driven to apply current advances and innovation in neuroscience to achieve real-world impact for children, organizations, and research itself. Early to the applied neuroscience movement, Rio has supported the efforts for growth and research for organizations focused on neuroscience and social good.
Currently, Mrs. Dluzak serves as Co-Founder/President of a health solutions start-up, Lavoisier Health. Rio also serves as Bay Area Chapter President of Science Debate, dedicated to elevating science and engineering policy issues in the United States political and policy dialogue. She also contributes as a scientific advisor and consults for various projects and non-profits organizations. Rio brings her decade+ of experience to these organizations through strategic planning for research, organizational development, fundraising and futures planning.
Rio earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Psychology from University of California, Berkeley, and a Masters of Science in Decision Analysis from The Minerva School at KGI (part of the Claremont College Consortium). She resides in the U.S. with her family, including her three children who fueled her inspiration for her thesis – “The Benefits of Neuroscience Literacy in Early Childhood.”

Joice Fernandes has more than 25 years’ experience in the global technology industry, in strategic roles, working with an impressive portfolio of multinational companies such as Amazon Web Services; Ernst & Young, Microsoft Corp., Hewlett Packard, Olivetti and Dow Chemical.
At Microsoft Corp, in World Wide position, Joice envisioned, drove and executed on a number of high profile and important programs for Worldwide Education, most notably the Shape the Future program, aimed at helping governments invest in information and communication technology to create jobs, drive economic growth and increase competitiveness. Joice built this Shape the Future program from the ground up, developing strategic partnerships, engaging with senior government officials and ministries of education and establishing a strong sales motion in partnership with the Microsoft global sales force and business partners. Since its implementation, Shape the Future program impacted more than 80 countries and reached more than 10 million students by renovating education, training teachers and parents and bringing access to the technology to over 50 million people. Through Public and Private Partnerships, meaningful and effective solutions to people’s educational, economic, and social challenges were created. Microsoft’s Shape the Future program became the most inspiring and wide recognized brand in the social media for Microsoft generating more than 1 million fans in its Facebook page and it became a widely adopted nomenclature around the world by several different businesses.

Younes Maamar is Chairman of the Board of Silicon CPV, a UK-company that designs and manufactures B2C Solar Solutions distributed worldwide and with a strong footprint in Morocco
Younes has over 20 year’s experience in Energy and Infrastructure with a strong emphasis on emerging markets. His work experience started in 1995 with the World Bank Group in Washington DC. Younes also held senior position with the US headquartered AES Corporation, the World’s largest independent power producer, working on business development and restructuring in the EMEA region. In 2006, Younes was appointed as the CEO of the Office National de l’Electricité, (the Moroccan Integrated Power Utility). Under his tenure, the Moroccan Power company launched a comprehensive renewable and energy efficiency program and strengthened the regional and continental reach. Since he stepped down from ONE, Younes advised large private equity firms on energy/utilities projects in emerging markets and was instrumental in several flagship transactions in the continent.
Mr Maamar is an electrical engineer, graduated from Ecole Centrale de Nantes and holds a post-Masters’ degree in economics from the French Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique and an executive certificate in corporate governance from Siences-Po, Paris.
Mohammed ELMeski, Ph.D.Co-Chair of the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement
Mohammed Elmeski is the Co-Chair of the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement. He a senior researcher in International Policy, Practice, and Systems Change at AIR. His primary responsibilities include providing technical assistance in the reform of international education systems. Dr. Elmeski also conducts process and impact evaluations. He has extensive experience in pedagogy, educational policy, educational leadership, child-friendly schools, community-school partnerships, and mixed-methods evaluation of educational programs. Currently, Dr. Elmeski is the project director of READ M&E in Ethiopia, and he is also the component manager for the LAC Reads Capacity Program in Haiti. Previously, Dr. Elmeski was a research associate at the Institute on Community Integration at the University of Minnesota. In that capacity he provided technical assistance in mixed methods and policy analysis to help Midwestern states in the U.S. improve the functional and academic outcomes of individuals with disabilities. Dr. Elmeski holds a Ph.D. in comparative international development education with a minor in program evaluation from the University of Minnesota.
